Virginia Arrington

Virginia “Jenny” Faye Arrington, of Safford, passed away in the early morning hours of June 29, 2020, with her loving family at her side. She was born Oct. 26, 1943, in McCrory, Ark., to Bill Totty and Jewell Jelks Totty, with sisters Gwen, Billie (Bee), and Almalee (Lee).

The family moved to Roswell, N.M., where Jenny graduated from high school with the class of ’62.

On Feb. 23, 1962, she married Richard T. Arrington in Juarez, Mexico, and together they raised their two children: Randy and Sherri-Liz Arrington.

Jenny was a homemaker who loved being with her children. She also enjoyed crafting, jewelry making, putting picture collages together, cooking, bowling, sewing, and the Christmas season where she would go crazy decorating her home.

She really loved spending time with her family and friends and just being a homemaker. She was beautiful, friendly, steadfast, loving, kind and caring. Jenny was always full of glamour and jewels, enjoyed collecting knickknacks, and befriending everyone. Her favorite saying was, “I’m so proud of you!”

She is survived by: her children, Randy (Tricia) Arrington and Sherri (Russell) Hendricks; her sisters, Gwen Frye and Billie (Bee) Decker; her six grandchildren, Kyle, Clay, Kendall, Summer, Autumn and Wynterlynn; and her great-grandchild, Mattux.

Jenny is preceded in death by: her parents, Bill and Jewell Totty; and her sister, Almalee (Lee) Buck.

The family will hold a memorial service for Jenny on Sunday, July 19, 2020, beginning at 2 p.m., at the New Life City Church with Dr. Philip Tutor officiating. If you are unavailable to come to the services, please view the services on the New Life City Church’s website.
