Viola O. Andazola

Viola O. Andazola, a resident of Clifton, peacefully entered into eternal rest Monday evening, November 20, 2023, at the Mount Graham Regional Medical Center, following a courageous battle with cancer. Viola was 75.

Viola was born June 25, 1948, in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of Nicolasa and Carlos Sam. She spent her adolescent years in Clifton, obtaining her formal education from Clifton Schools. Following her graduation Viola attended Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher. In 1973, Viola married her only true love, Frank “Beaver” Andazola on April 2, 1973. She worked in various capacities including the Greenlee County Recorder’s Office. Viola was a devout parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clifton.

Viola leaves to mourn: her daughter, Judy (Joe); a son, Michael (Maria); eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Viola was reunited with her beloved husband, Frank “Beaver”, who preceded her in death in July of 2017.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Viola will be celebrated Saturday morning, December 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church by Rev. Nathanial Mma and Rev. Robert Rodriguez. Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

A Rosary and prayers will be offered Saturday morning, December 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church by Rev. Robert Rodriguez.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning, December 16, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., also at the church.
