SAFFORD — The United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties wants to help the community stay healthy.

To help those without health insurance, the local United Way granted $18,000 to St. Vincent de Paul for its Good Samaritan Outreach Center.

The outreach center provides medical screenings at no cost to those without health insurance. The center also provides assistance to those applying for AHCCCS medical coverage.

Screenings are performed by appointment one Wednesday per month, from 1 p.m. until all have been served.

St. Vincent de Paul is located at 221 E. Main St. in Safford. The clinic is downstairs by the food pantry. Appointments can be made by calling 928-428-0460.
