GRAHAM COUNTY — There will be plenty of things to do for junior ghosts and goblins in the Gila Valley this Halloween.
Things actually start Wednesday at 5 p.m., when ReLion Realty hosts a free Halloween event on the lawn of the Graham County Courthouse. There will be Halloween activities and treats.
There will be a number of Trunk or Treats at numerous locations throughout the Gila Valley on Thursday, including:
- Lighthouse Medical Center, in Safford, at 3 p.m.
- Haven Health, in Safford, at 3:30 p.m.
- Triumphant Learning Center, in Safford, at 4 p.m.
- All Saints Episcopal Church, in Safford, at 5 p.m.
- First United Methodist Church, in Safford, at 5 p.m.
- Green’s Furniture, in Safford, at 6 p.m.
- Home Depot, in Thatcher, at 6 p.m.
- Safford City Hall Lawn, sponsored by Josiah’s House, at 6:30 p.m.
Patrons get to choose who is the pumpkin master at the Safford Library on Thursday. Staff crafted seven pumpkins that are on display and the public can vote for the best until 3 p.m. The winner will be announced at 4 p.m.
In Thatcher’s Daley Estates, Halloween will time travel to the Renaissance, when the Incipient Shire of Vallis Aeris of the Society for Creative Anachronism will host a Halloween Party and fighter practice. There will be costume contest and snacks in addition to the competition.
The Fright at the Museum Haunted House returns to Eastern Arizona Museum and Historical Society for one night only, Thursday, starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
