PIMA — There’s still time to participate in the Tri Community Tri this Saturday — as an athlete or a volunteer.
The Sprint Triathlon is 425 yards of lap swim in the Pima Town Pool, followed by 15-mile bike ride around the town and finishes with a 5-kilometer run through the town.
The Relay Sprint allows a team of three to compete, with each taking one part of the race. The Super Sprint is 125 yards of swimming, a 7-mile bike ride and a 1.5-mile run; and the Kids Triathlon, for those under 15, is a 75-yard swim, 1.2-mile bike ride and a half-mile run.
The Sprint and Relay Triathlons both start at 7 a.m. , followed by the Super Sprint at 8 a.m. and the Kids Tri at 8:30 a.m.
Cost is $100 for the Sprint Tri, $85 for the Relay Tri, $55 for the Super Sprint and $25 for the Kids Tri. Last day to register is Sept. 11. Click here to register.
