Town Hall to set the facts straight on voting, election results

SAFFORD — Gila Valley voters who want to know more about the electoral process will be able to get information directly from the people in charge.

A Graham County Votes town hall will take place Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 5:30-7 p.m., at the Graham County General Services Building.

County officials in charge of the election process will be on the panel to answer questions, including:

  • Who can vote?
  • How to register?
  • Voting in person vs. voting by mail
  • Voter ID requirements
  • How are ballots counted and a tabulator machine demonstration
  • Which ballots are not counted?
  • Are a person’s votes actually secret and what security measures are in place?

There will also be discussion on two local ballot measures, with both Graham County and the Town of Thatcher seeking voter approval to raise their expenditure limits.

Scheduled to attend the town hall are ht Graham County Elections director, IT director, Graham County Recorder and Graham County Manager.

The town hall is nonpartisan.
