A 15-year-old was injured in a motorcycle mishap last Saturday in the Bowie Hot Well Dunes area. Deputies were the first to arrive on scene and had difficulty locating the injured teen. Deputies were eventually led to the patient by two ATV riders in the area. Once they located the injured rider, they asked the ATV riders to help emergency medical crews find the patient.
The teen was lying on his back and was reportedly unable to move. Medical crews got stuck and were delayed getting to the scene. Deputies continued to administer first aid until they arrived. The patient was transported to Haekel Road where he was transferred to an Air Evac helicopter. He was ultimately transported to Tucson for treatment.
