SUSD making free meals available to children Friday and Monday

SAFFORD — In a letter sent to parents late Thursday, Safford Unified School District announced it has been approved to serve free meals when school is not in session.

On Friday, April 2, and Monday, April 5, curbside drive-through on the west side of the Safford Middle School cafeteria will be open for meal pick up from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

In addition, the Easter Bunny will be handing out frozen fruit treats Friday.

Free meals are available for all area children 18 and younger, regardless of community in which they live.
