SAFFORD — A survey to try and get an accurate count of the homeless in Graham County will take place this month.

Community Partners, a subsidiary of the nonprofit Intermountain Centers, which focuses behavioral health, will conduct a point-in-time count at two locations:

● Gila Valley Samaritan Home, in Safford

● Bylas reststop on the San Carlos Apache Reservation

The survey will take place Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Safford, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Bylas.

Volunteers will also conduct street outreach as well.

The goal is to obtain as close to accurate a count of sheltered and unsheltered persons in Graham County experiencing homelessness on a single night.
