CLIFTON — The Greenlee County Tourism Council said there’s still time to participate in the annual Big Quack Duck Race, whether it’s by purchasing or decorating ducks.

The Big Quack Duck Race will take place Saturday, June 10, along with a Gila Watershed Partnership community cleanup of the San Francisco River.

As part of the Big Quack, youths and adults are encouraged to participate in a duck drawing contest. Youth artists could win a number of prizes, including backpacks, hats, water bottles, wallets and cel phone cases all with a duck theme.  The adult prize will be a vintage duck condiment set, courtesy of Germaine’s Emporium in Duncan.

Submissions must include the artist’s name and age for youth entries. All art must be submitted no later than June 8, and winners will be decided by those in attendance at the duck race.

To purchase a duck in the race, go to Enter Ducks in the Big Quack Duck Race – Greenlee Arizona Tourism (visitgreenleecounty.com). Cost is $10 per duck, or three for $25.
