Six new home starts in the Gila Valley in February

GRAHAM COUNTY — Six new home construction permits were issued in the Gila Valley’s three incorporated communities in February.

Thatcher issued three building permits for new home construction, for a total valuation of $440,000, or an average value of $180,000 per home. There were also two permits issued for nonresidential projects.

Safford issued permits for the construction of three new homes. Safford does not detail values of the developments.

Safford also issued four permits for improvements to residential properties, and one permit for upgrades to a commercial property.

Pima did not issue any permits for new home construction in February, but did issue one permit for an accessory building and one permit for work on a commercial building.
