SAFFORD — The public is invited to see the first works of the next generation of artists.
The Safford High School Student Art Show will take place May 7-9, from 5:30-8 p.m. each night, in the Safford High School small gymnasium. Admission is free.
More than 140 SHS students will have their work on display.
The school’s Art Department is also for the public’s help in rewarding the students. Donors are asked to purchase art supplies on Amazon, which will be sent directly to the school for distribution to the participating students on May 10.
The school is also looking for donations of watercolor sets — again, through Amazon — to be given to elementary school students who tour the showing and complete the scavenger hunt.
To donate, go to SHS Art Show gift registry on Amazon.
