SAFFORD — Southeastern Arizona Community Unique Services is seeking volunteers to deliver fresh,, health food to homebound seniors through the Meals on Wheels program.
Volunteers — who must have a working vehicle, show proof of automobile insurance and be able to obtain a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card — are reimbursed $0.58 per mile driven and receive a free lunch.
SEACUS provided 35,795 meals to seniors in 2025, including 9,089 meals in Greenlee County.
In addition to meals, SEACUS provided 16,124 hours of attendant care to seniors, including 445 hour of housekeeping, as well as 801 hours of respite for family members who care for seniors.
