SAFFORD — SEACUS is once again teaming with Eagle’s Roost Restaurant to prepare and deliver Thanksgiving meals for homebound seniors.
Eagle’s Roost Restaurant in Thatcher is preparing a full holiday meal of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, yams, a roll and pumpkin pie to be delivered by Meals on Wheels volunteers Thanksgiving morning.
Last year, Eagle’s Roost and SEACUS prepared and delivered 197 meals.
In addition, Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary will also be serving free holiday meals to the entire community on Thanksgiving at American Legion Swift-Murphy Post 32 in Safford.
Last year, Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary served nearly 600 meals, including delivering meals to on-duty first responders, those working at the Freeport-McMoRan Safford mine and the senior living apartments.
