THATCHER —The Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College is inviting businesses to get an update on the federal programs designed to help them through the pandemic.
Kevin Peck, director of the SBDC, will be joined by National Bank of Arizona branch manager Tabetha Arranda for a Facebook live event to discuss the latest updates on the Payroll Protection Plan and Economic Injury Disaster Loan programs.
The programs are open to all businesses with 500 or fewer employees, including home-based businesses.
“Sole proprietors, whether they’re independent contractors or they’re just working for themselves, they can certainly apply as well,” Arranda said during a recent appearance on Voice of the Valley. “We do get a little more in-depth on their tax return (because) we want to see what they’re filing.”
The event will take place Tuesday, June 23, at 2 p.m. There will also be a question-and-answer period for those who view the event live.
