SAFFORD — The City of Safford is ready to start work on Kouts Park.
On Wednesday, the city announced it is accepting bids to construct Mayor Jason Kouts Park, to be located at 8th Avenue and Discovery Park Boulevard.
The winning bidder will have 550 days to complete the project, which includes construction of:
- Splash pad
- Pickleball courts
- Amphitheater
- Playgrounds
- Ramadas
- Two restroom buildings
- Walking pathways
- Pedestrian bridge
- Open lawn spaces
- Roadway and parking lot paving
Bids are due by Feb. 5, 2026. The city has budgeted $9.2 million for parks capital outlay projects in Fiscal Year 2025-26.
