Safford schools continue free meals for children

SAFFORD —Despite the relaxation of stay-at-home orders by Gov. Doug Ducey, Safford Unified School District is continuing to provide free breakfasts and lunches to all Gila Valley Children 18 years old and younger.

Distribution is located at:

Safford Middle School Cafeteria (Hot Lunch & Cold Breakfast)

1067 8th Ave. ~ 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

● Thunderbird Mobile Home Park Entrance.  (Cold Lunch & Breakfast)

S. HWY 191 & W. Ocotilla St.  – 10:30 a.m. – noon

● Copper Canyon South Entrance area look for school bus. (Cold Lunch & Breakfast)

US Hwy 70 & Copper Canyon Dr. – 10:30 a.m. – noon

● Vista Linda Neighborhood Entrance.  (Cold Lunch & Breakfast)

2111 Calle Mesa Verde – 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

● Nelson Dr.  (Cold Lunch & Breakfast)

The emergency food program will continue through June 30. The regular summer meal program will begin July 1.
