SAFFORD — Teens interested in learning about police work have a chance to find out what it’s really like first hand.
Safford Police Department announced Monday it is accepting applications for its Teen Academy, which will run June 3-7, from 4-8 p.m. each day.
The academy is open to teen 14- to 18-years-old, have a cumulative grade point average of C or better, have no criminal history or on probation, and be enrolled in either Safford High School or Mt. Graham High School.
Applications are available at both high schools or through the school resource officer. Applications are due May 3.
