SAFFORD — Safford Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck and injured a 31-year-old man.
Officers received a report of the incident as a result of a domestic disturbance on the 1900 block of 20th Avenue on Jan. 1.
The victim was transported to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center before being transferred to Banner Medical Center in Phoenix for treatment of his injuries. The nature of his injuries and current condition was not made immediately available.
Officers contacted a woman initially suspected of the hit-and-run. She confirmed a domestic altercation with the victim, but denied striking him with her vehicle. Officers said a review of surveillance video from the area confirmed the woman’s statement.
Make, model and color of the vehicle was not immediately released by Safford Police. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
