Safford city clerk earns Certified Municipal Clerk designation

SAFFORD — The City of Safford announced Wednesday that Beatrice Driver has earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), an honor awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Inc.

The CMC designation recognizes municipal clerks who have completed rigorous education requirements and demonstrated a commitment to making significant contributions to their local government, community, and state. This prestigious certification is a testament to Driver’s dedication to professional excellence and service.

“Achieving the CMC designation is a milestone accomplishment and a reflection of Beatrice Driver’s dedication to lifelong learning and excellence in municipal governance,’ said Lisa Garcia, MMC, president of the IIMC. “In today’s fast-changing environment, lifelong learning is essential for local government professionals to meet the growing needs of the citizens we serve.”

City Manager John Cassella commended Driver’s swift accomplishment, stating, “Beatrice’s achievement of the CMC designation in such a remarkably short time is a testament to her unwavering dedication and hard work. Her commitment to excellence enhances our city’s operations and sets a high standard for municipal service.”

The City of Safford celebrates this remarkable achievement, which underscores Driver’s commitment to serving the community with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
