Ronald William Long, age 60, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, after a battle with cancer. Ron was born October 16, 1963, in Safford, Arizona, the second son of Ernest Leroy Long and Alice Fay Long.
In 1971 his family moved to San Jose, California. He attended Ruskin Elementary, Sierramont Middle School, and graduated in the class of 1982 from Piedmont Hills High School. As an adult he worked various jobs and lived in San Jose, Hayward and Union City. He made many friends during that time.
After the birth of his two children, Katie (13) and William (11), Ron and his family moved to the Mesa, Arizona area, and
lived in Arizona till his passing.
Ron is survived by: his mother, Alice Fay Long; and his father, Ernest Leroy Long (Marilyn Long); his older brother, Dwight Long (Linda); his younger brother, Ben Long (Laura). He is also survived by: his daughter, Katie Long; his son, William Long; and their mother/former spouse, Terry Flores. He was loved and will be missed by aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Ron will be conducted in his honor on Saturday May 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pima Chapel on 47 South 100 West, Pima, Arizona 85543. Interment to follow at the Pima Cemetery.
