THATCHER — Girl Scout troops from Graham, Greenlee and northern Cochise counties will join with local first responders for a day of physical challenges and service.
Rise and Recognize will take place Saturday, Aug. 29, at H. Lyle Grant Park in Thatcher.
Representatives of local law enforcement, Fire Departments, ambulance service and Search and Rescue will team with Girl Scouts to compete in a series of athletic events, including relays, obstacle courses and other games, to earn bragging rights.
In addition, there will be activities for those who come out to watch, and food trucks, including Nana’s Kitchenette and Finch’s Shiver Shack.
Plus Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry will have a booth to share information and take donations of nonperishable items for the local food bank.
There is no cost to attend.
