SAFFORD — The number of Democratic voters in both Graham and Greenlee counties are on the decline.
That’s according to data recently released by the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office.
Voters registering as Democrats in Graham County fell 1.1 percent, to 5,062, between the November 2020 general election and April. In Greenlee County, the decline was 2.1 percent, to 1,649, during the same time period.

Meanwhile Republican registration, and those choosing no party affiliation, both increased over the last five months.
Voters registering as Republican increased 1.8 percent to 9,978, and independents increased 2.2 percent to 4,922, in Graham County between November and April.
In Greenlee County, Republican registration increased 1.6 percent to 1,764, and independents increased 4.4 percent to 1,435 from November to April.
Graham County shows a total of 20,0814 registered voters as of April, while Greenlee is at 4,921.
Statewide, there are 1.37 million registered Democrats, 1.5 million registered Republicans and 1.38 million registered voters with no party affiliation.
