Rene Sanchez, of Safford, entered into eternal rest Thursday evening, September 17, 2015, at his mother’s residence, with his mother and sister at his bedside. He was 59.
Rene leaves behind: his two sons, Mario Sanchez and Michael Sanchez, of Tucson; his mother, Annie, of Safford; a sister, Mary Smith, of Safford; his aunts, Belia Morales, of Avondale, Vera Monroe and Bita Escobedo, each of Prescott Valley. Rene was predeceased by: his father, Benny; and brother-in-law, Richard Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rene will be celebrated Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church by Rev. Robert Rodriguez. Committal will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday morning, September 22, 2015, at 9:00 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church by Deacon Carl Vessels.
The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
