SAFFORD — Those with a great salsa recipe have a chance at cash and prizes.

The Graham County Chamber of Commerce has announced that competitor registration has been opened for the 2026 SalsaFest event in Safford on Sept. 25-26.

There are three categories — restaurant, cottage (home-based professional) and amateur. Each will be sampled by a panel of judges, plus the public can vote for the fan favorite in each category.

Awards will be presented in each category for:

  • Best Overall Salsa
  • Best Red Salsa
  • Best Green Salsa
  • Best Presentation

In addition to being able to taste Southeastern Arizona’s best salsas, attendees of all ages will be able to enjoy food vendors, participate in arts and crafts, and enjoy free live music all weekend long.
