Raul M. Peru, of Solomonville, Arizona, age 94, entered into the arms of Our Lord on September 13, 2023, at the Haven Health of Safford, surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Raul was born May 30, 1929, to Julian G. Peru and Adelina M. Peru. He is preceded in death by: his parents, 9 siblings; his daughter, Connie P. Espinoza; and his grandsons, Aaron Peru and Joseph Espinoza.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 68 years, Josephine; his daughters, Rebecca Colvin (Tony), Mary Lopez (Tony), Margie Chachon (Sam), Lina Peru; and his son, Joe Peru (Teresa); 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren; and his sister, Celia Gonzales.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 12:00 noon at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford. Concluding services followed in the Safford Cemetery. A bereavement meal was held in the St Rose of Lima Hall following the concluding services.
A rosary and prayers were offered Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., also at the church.
