SAFFORD — The Graham Economic Partnership, in conjunction with the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College and the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties, is launching a business incubator program.
The first step will be helping local businesses find capital, with a pair of forums hosted by White Mountain Economic Development President and CEO Donald Laughlin and White Mountain Executive Director Russ Yelton.
“Our purpose is to take a business in the Gila Valley, Graham County, that has 10 employees and move them to 30; one that has 30 and move them to 100,” said Graham Economic Partnership board member Danny Smith.
Participants will have the chance to speak with bankers, lawyers, accountants and venture capitalists, as well as network with fellow business owners and local leaders.
The first forum will take place Wednesday, May 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Graham County General Services Building. The second forum is scheduled for Tuesday May 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., also at the General Services Building.
Lunch will be provided both days.
