Prime rib dinner, handgun raffle to benefit Search and Rescue

SAFFORD — The public has multiple chances to help Graham County Search and Rescue develop a new multi-purpose training facility.

On Tuesday, Search and Rescue announced it is partnering with Frontier Steak and Spirits (formerly Copper Steer Steakhouse) for a prime rib dinner fund-raiser Wednesday, June 12, from 4-8 p.m.

Cost is $40 per person and includes prime rib, baked potato, dinner salad and soft drink. There will also be 50/50 drawings and raffles throughout the evening.

Reservations are recommended for dine-in or dinners can be ordered to go. Call 928-348-8400.

Search and Rescue is also selling raffle tickets for a handgun package, that includes an SAR 9 9mm handgun, a conceal-carry fanny pack, cleaning pad, Impulse range kit, bullseye targets, ear plugs and an Igloo ice chest.

“It will be drawn on, I believe, July 13 at the Battle of the Bands,” said Search and Rescue’s Ronnie Glaspie.

A number of local businesses and service organizations have helped Search and Rescue in its mission, including United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties, which granted $180,000 for development of the facility, as well as Valley Telecom Group, Goodman Ag, Austin’s Auto Advantage, Firing Pin Gun and Pawn, M&M Transportation and Leasing, Scarbrough Pumping, 3G Plumbing and Services, Boulevard Glass, Lighthouse Medical Center, Johnson Motors, Graham County Co-op, Mack’s Napa Auto, Valley Furniture, Legion Riders and Safford Lions Club among others.
