SAFFORD — The Venue and Vignette were the places to go Saturday to find everything needed to put on the perfect event.

More than 300 people attended the seventh annual Wedding and Event Fair Saturday.

“The vendors all seem like their getting some good coverage and some good exposure,” said Venue owner Kym Gifford. “We have a variety that’s different this year than what we’ve had in the past, too, so that’s been really helpful.”

Photographers, bakers, DJs, equipment rentals and more were on-hand to help those planning any type of event, from birthdays and quinceaneras to weddings and anniversaries.

The highlights of the day were the two fashion shows, that started on the second floor of The Venue, went down the stairs and out the building to the middle of Main Street. The fashion show’s wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and tuxedos were provided by Kendra’s Bridal Boutique and One Day Fit.

One Day Fit’s Krista Kouts said it was a no-brainer to participate in the Wedding and Event Fair.

“We do a lot of business here in the Valley, and Morenci and Clifton; kind of all over the place,” she said, adding she’s already had orders for more than 100 suits thanks to upcoming weddings and proms. “I’m really busy.”

DJ Mark’s street party on Main Street closed out the event. Vendors also raffled off prizes, including Gifford who raffled off one of the many packages offered by The Venue on Main.
