PIMA — Travelers heading to the Phoenix area Saturday should plan for a little bit of extra drive time through Pima.
The Pima Volunteer Fire Department announced it will conduct a practice burn at 166 W. Center St. Saturday, Sept. 16, from 5 a.m. to noon.
To ensure safety during the training exercise, westbound U.S. Highway 70 will be reduced to one lane.
Residents can expect to see heavy smoke in the area during the training.
