PIMA — The Pima Volunteer Fire Department announced it will conduct a practice burn Saturday, May 25, on 100 West Street in front of the Pima Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The roadway will be closed starting at 4:30 a.m. and there will be periods of heavy smoke in the area.
Land owners planning to demolish or remove a structure will allow area Fire Departments to burn the structures in order to train firefighters on how to knock-down a blaze.
