PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Gaming reports that the state moved into the No. 6 position in the nation when it comes to online sports betting.
Arizonans made more than $318 million in online sports bets during the month of June. That brings the state’s total take to more than $17 million in privilege fees since online betting was legalized by the state in September 2021.
The Arizona Department of Gaming also released the totals from gaming on Native American reservations in the state, with aggregate gross revenues from gaming at more than $2.7 billion for the fiscal year ending June 30.
As a result, the state’s Instructional Improvement Fund received $63.2 million, trauma and emergency services received $30.8 million, and the Wildlife Conservation Fund and the Tourism Fund received $8.8 million each.
The Arizona Department of Gaming also received $9.8 million for its operations, as well as $2.2 for problem gambling education programs.
