Number of flu cases continue to be greater than normal in Graham, Greenlee

PHOENIX — There were just two cases of flu in Graham County the week of Feb. 15, and only one in Greenlee County.

That’s according to data released by the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Graham County has experienced 706 cases of influenza this season, a 96 percent increase over the five-year average of 360 cases.

In Greenlee County, there have been 233 cases of flu so far this flu season, up 24 percent from the five-year average of 188 cases.

Cochise County reports nine cases of flu the week of Feb. 15, and 310 so far this season.

That total is 49 percent below the five-year average of 613 cases at this time of the flu season.

Statewide, there have been 25,801 cases of flu so far this season, with 2,908 the week of Feb. 15.
