SAFFORD — The next wave of Gila Valley entrepreneurs are a few weeks away from taking the business world by storm.

The Small Business Development Center at EAC will conduct a graduation ceremony for the most recent Graham County cohort of Dreambuilder on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Frontier Steak and Spirits.

The Dreambuilder program was created as an online-only program by Freeport-McMoRan and the Thunderbird School of Global Management at ASU to help women own and grow businesses in Spanish-language countries.

It was brought to the United States and the innovation by the SBDC at EAC to incorporate in-person sessions with the online modules has now been adopted as the Dreambuilder model statewide.

And Torey Cranford, SBDC business analyst and Dreambuilder instructor, said she’s adding another benefit to those who have gone through the program.

“My new goal is to be able to put out to all the alumni who’s coming to speak, and if they want to attend, they are more than welcome to come in and listen to that speaker,” Cranford said.

The next cohort will begin in early 2026 and registration will open soon.
