Tucson, Ariz. – Swift Trail (State Route 366) on the Safford Ranger District, Coronado National Forest, located on the eastern side of the Pinaleño Mountains will open Friday, April 21, 2023, at 8:00 AM.
This year, Mount Graham has received over 130 inches of snow. The heavy, wet snowpack has created challenges as the state and our employees work to clear the road, campgrounds, and day-use sites. By delaying the opening date from April 15, 2023, to April 21, 2023, crews can safely remove the snow and prepare the recreation sites.
