THATCHER — There’s a new face on the Thatcher Town Council, but not new to Town Hall.

On Monday, Mike McEuen was sworn in for a four-year term on the Council, along with incumbents Heston Welker and Jenny Howard. The trio were the top-three vote-getters in the August primary election.

McEuen previously served the town as chief of Police. He said he still has “still has a lot to learn” on the policy side, but has his priorities for his first term.

“I would hope we can keep a good budget — do everything within that budget — keep our streets maintained, and meet the needs of our citizens and keep them safe,” McEuen said.

Also at Monday’s meeting, the council voted unanimously to keep Randy Bryce as mayor and name Howard as the new vice mayor. Each will serve a two-year term in those roles.
