SAFFORD — Graham County Attorney’s Office and the Victim Witness Department is partnering with Mt. Graham Safe House to conduct the inaugural Victim Awareness Week.
The week will start at 8:30 a.m. May 15, on the steps of the Graham County Courthouse, with opening remarks by an unspecified speaker, followed by a Victim’s March. Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA), Pima Chapter, will also be participating.
Victim Awareness Week will end May 19 at 6 p.m., again at the courthouse, with closing remarks, followed by a victims’ balloon release and candlelight vigil.
The purpose of the week is to promote community awareness of victims’ rights.
