Margie Chamberlain

Born August 21,1947 in Morenci, Arizona to Claro S. Dominguez of Eagle Creek, Arizona and Theresa Mendez of Jalisco, Mexico entered into rest on January 13, 2017 in Safford, Arizona.

Margie, the youngest of eight children, was born and raised in Old Morenci and Solomon. She went to work for Phelps Dodge during the Copper Mine strike of 1983. She was one of the first female locomotive engineers hired by the company. When the company phased out trains and began using the conveyor system to transport ore to the crushers, Margie trained as a haul truck driver which she did until she retired.

She is survived by: her two brothers, Freddie And Harold Dominguez; her four children, Julie Thomas, Chief Petty Officer James Trout, Samantha Good, Pauldaniel Trout and Emily Chamberlain; her grandchildren, Joshua, Erin, Caityn, Maya, Noah, Alex, Caleb, Raymond, Jessica, Mark, Brianna, Madyson, Rylie, Keegan, Delicia, Pauldaniel, Nevaeh, Desmond, Emma, Allie and Jessalyn; her great grand-children, Alannah and baby boy Mason, who has not yet been born, her sons-in-law, Larry Thomas and Robert Good; and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Trout; and her many nieces and nephews.

She was very proud of her family and will be greatly missed. Arrangements are entrusted to Vining Funeral Home.
