Mail ballots must be dropped off to be counted

SAFFORD — Graham County Election officials are letting the public know that the deadline for sending a mail-in ballot through the U.S. Postal Service has passed, and anyone with a mail ballot will have to drop it off for it to be counted.

Ballots may be placed in the metal dropboxes at:

  • The Graham County General Services Building in Safford
  • Meg’s Place in Fort Thomas
  • Robert Olivar Sr. Learning Center in Bylas
  • Peridot Administration Office
  • Bonita Elementary School

Ballots may also be brought into the Graham County Recorder’s Office in the General Services Building. Ballots must be dropped off or delivered in person by Monday, Nov. 4, to be counted early.

There are also only two days remaining for early in-person voting at the General Services Building — Thursday, Oct. 31, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Friday, Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, any Graham County registered voter who has not submitted a mail-in ballot or voted early may cast a ballot at any Graham County Vote Centers:

  • Solomon School Gymnasium
  • The Ag Building at Graham County Fairgrounds
  • St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford
  • Eastern Arizona College Fine Arts Auditorium in Thatcher
  • Pima Justice Court
  • Fort Thomas School Gymnasium
  • Robert Olivar Sr. Learning Center in Bylas
  • Bonita Elementary School
  • San Carlos Housing Authority in Peridot
