Harold “Lee” Maylen, age 88, of Safford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Lee was born June 26, 1927, in Long Beach, California. Lee was a devoted sports fan, historian, World War II Veteran, grandfather and father. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Lee is survived by: his wife of 68 years, Joyce Maylen; his sister, Jeanice Cardens; his daughters, Mindy Wilson (Norman) and Melissa Sherman (Ed); his grandchildren, Angela Naylor (Troy), Natasha Camp (Tony), Matthew Sherman, Ezra Sherman (Lindsey), Mariah Hile (Andy), Megan Stuff (Eric), Jordan Maylen, Morgan Hinton (Sean) and Raegan Maylen; and his twelve great-grandchildren.
Lee was preceded in death by: his parents, Harold Lee Maylen, Sr. and Mildred Moore; and his beloved son, Kirt Maylen.
A Celebration of Lee’s Life will be conducted Thursday, September 3, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at New Life City Church by Dr. Phillip J. Tutor.
