Learning the signs of opioid overdose focus of next Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition event

SAFFORD — Knowing what to do when someone has ingested fentanyl could be the difference between life and death.

The Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition will host a free training on the use of Narcan and fentanyl awareness Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 6:30 p.m., at The Way Church, 218 W. 7th St. in Safford.

The seminar will focus on the signs of opioid overdose, what to do, and when and how to administer Narcan.

After the training, each participant will be given a Naloxone kit for use in emergency situations.
