Lane restrictions on Highway 60 next week

SUPERIOR — While there will be no lane restrictions on U.S. Highway 60 on Monday for the Labor Day holiday, there will be restrictions the rest of the week.

Arizona Department of Transportation announced Highway 60 will be reduced to one lane, with alternating east- and westbound travel, between mileposts 227-229, Tuesday, Sept. 2, through Thursday, Sept. 4, from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day; and Friday, Sept. 5, from 5:30 a.m. to noon.

Highway 60 will also be reduced to one lane, with alternating east- and westbound travel, between mileposts 240-243, Tuesday, Sept. 2, through Thursday, Sept. 4, from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day; and Friday, Sept. 5, from 5:30 a.m. to noon.

Flagging operations and pilot cars will be in effect, and speed will be reduced to 25 miles an hour in the work zones.

Drivers should allow extra travel time and use caution through the work zones.
