LaDawn Noble Curtis

LaDawn Noble Curtis, a longtime resident of Thatcher entered into eternal life Monday afternoon, June 6, 2022, at the Beehive house surrounded by her loving children. LaDawn was 86.

LaDawn was born February 8, 1936, in Salt Lake City to Lucile and Milton Noble.  She was raised in Salt Lake and Provo, Utah.  During high school she played softball, was in the pep club and sang in a double trio.  After attending BYU, she became an airline stewardess for Frontier Airlines.  She flew out of Billings, Montana and was living in Denver when the airline asked her to move to Phoenix to be the chief stewardess. 

She met her eternal companion, Dr. Bruce Curtis in Phoenix as he was finishing his residency.  They married September 16, 1959, in the Mesa Arizona Temple.  They moved to Thatcher, Arizona where Bruce established his medical practice. 

LaDawn was active in her church, serving in the Young Women and Relief Society organizations.  She was involved with the Graham County Republican Women for many years.  She was committed and loyal to these organizations while raising her children and supporting her husband as he served the community.  Her life was a life of service to others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Bruce Curtis, of 58 years and her parents, Lucile and Milton Noble, her stepfather Aldie Miner and her brother Paul.  She is survived by her children, Todd (Maryln), Lee, Cami (Jim Launer), LaNeece (Derek Arnson) and Jarrett (Pam).  She is survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also surviving are her brothers, Allan and Mike.

Funeral services for LaDawn will be conducted Saturday morning, June 18, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Thatcher Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Preston Alder of the Thatcher Seventh Ward.  Concluding services will follow at the Thatcher Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 17, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Vining Funeral Home and Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Thatcher Stake Center Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
