Keith Mowatt

Born March 20, 1955, in Brockton, Massachusetts, to Kenneth and Ethel Mowatt. Died peacefully February 1, 2024, in Tucson. He leaves behind: his loving wife of 38 years, Ann Mowatt; a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Derek Pierce; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Emily Mowatt; and a grandson, Wade Carson Pierce. He was preceded in death by: his mother, father, sister, Marsha and his brother, Kenneth, Jr.

Keith lived most of his life in Phoenix and Safford after moving to Arizona from Massachusetts when he was five years old. Keith graduated from East High School in Phoenix in 1974. In his youth, he traveled and enjoyed the many wonders of Arizona with frequent hiking, camping and fishing trips to Camelback Mtn, Superstition Mtns and Bartlett Lake. Keith met Ann on January 2, 1983, and married two and a half years later. With help and support of family and friends, together they bought 2530 N 30th St in Central Phoenix and raised both their children there. As a family man, Keith provided for his family by working at American Express and AccuTemp Refrigeration for ten plus years each. In 2006, Keith and Ann packed up their Phoenix residence of 20 years and moved permanently to their Safford residence. While living there, he worked at Valley Furniture and A1 Auto before retiring.  During his retirement he enjoyed spending his time with his loving wife, canoeing and fishing at Roper Lake and camping at Mount Graham.

In the end, Keith went peacefully to our lord in the manner he wished.

A Celebration of Keith’s Life was conducted Saturday morning, February 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at the Desert Springs Community Fellowship in Safford, by Pastor Bill Johnston.
