Safford native, Justin Gaethje, will be back in the UFC octagon Saturday, November 6th on the main card of UFC 268 in New York City. Gaethje is the #2 Lightweight and he will face off with #4 ranked Michael Chandler.
It will be 378 days since Gaethje’s last fight in Abu Dhabi, a 2nd round loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, his longest layoff in his professional career. Chandler suffered a loss in his last UFC fight as well. A May 15th 2nd round KO/TKO at the hands of Charles Oliveira.
The bout will be the third in a five fight main card that will be capped off by two title fights. A women’s strawweight bout between Rose Namajunas and Zhang Weili and a welterweight title fight between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington.
UFC 268 is available on pay-per-view and the main card will start at 7pm Arizona time on Saturday.
