Safford, Thatcher and Pima have scheduled activities to celebrate Independence Day in 2023:
Thatcher Schedule of Events:
6:30 am – The Thatcher Fire Department will travel through town with sirens.
7:00 am – Thatcher parade will begin at Thatcher High School and make it’s way to the splash pad and Herb Windsor Park. Ceremonies at the park will start with a welcome by Mayor Randy Bryce, followed by the raising of the flag and singing of the national anthem. That will be followed by a free pancake breakfast, Fire Department splash and play, and jumping castles.
Pima Schedule of Events:
7:00 am – Flag raising and breakfast of pancakes, eggs and bacon, all served at the Pima Fire Station
Safford Schedule of Events:
10:00 am -The annual 4th-of-July parade will take place on Main Street in Safford. The theme for 2023 is “Let Freedom Ring.”
The fireworks display will take place at the Graham County Fairgrounds at dark.
