Jennie Gallegos, a longtime resident of Safford, went to be with the Lord Wednesday evening, August 2, 2023, at the Mount Graham Regional Medical Center. She was 82.
Jennie was known for being a tough, strong little lady that stood her ground; but was also beautiful, loving, sharing and thoughtful. She loved making anyone that came to visit her take her to Beall’s so she could buy them something. Her passion was tending to her rose bushes with her green thumb. She had the prettiest, biggest roses of all colors.
She is now reunited in Heaven with: her parents, Francisco and Dominga Gallegos; brothers, Joe and Tommy Gallegos; sisters, Margaret Dominguez, Georgetta Tellez and Nester Baker; and two of her closest nieces and nephews, Sandy Dominguez and Ernest Abalos. She is incredibly missed by: her children, Corrina Snow, Eddie (Pam) Peru, and Erika (Robert) Ortega; several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews that she loved very much, and her dog, Rocky.
Funeral services for Jennie will be conducted Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Vining Funeral Home’s “Chapel of the Valley”. Concluding services will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
A rosary and prayers, as well as a public gathering, will be offered Friday, August 18, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
