Jason Roybal

Jason Roybal, or “Jbal” as he was known by all, a longtime resident of Thatcher, passed into eternity Saturday evening, June 13, 2020, at his residence, following a lengthy illness. Jbal was 47.

Jason was born on May 4, 1973, in Clifton, Arizona, to Amelia and Robert “Bobby” Romero. He grew up and attended school there before meeting his wife, Trinette. Jason loved to fish, camp, barbecue, go on night drives, joke around and spend time with his family and friends. Jason also loved to spend time with David and Denise, who he loved, and his “big buddy” Corey Rodriguez. Jason was loved by many and will be missed by everyone.

Jason is survived by: his wife, Trinette; his daughter, Jasonia “Lil’ Mommas;” step-sons, JJ Mendoza and Dusty Dodd; his granddaughter, Layla Mendoza; his parents, Mary and Robert Romero; sisters, Crystal Severin, Toni Roybal, Ruth A. Robles, Yolanda M. Gayiola; his brothers, Manuel P. Romero, Sammy D. Roybal, Manuel Arguellez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jason is preceded in death by: his stepfather, Tony M. Roybal; his mother, Amelia Roybal; and his brother, Ray E. Roybal.

Funeral services for Jbal will be conducted Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at Vining Funeral Home’s “Chapel of the Valley.”

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon June 27, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
