The Gila Valley Arts Council will present an evening of music and dance featuring the internationally acclaimed Jácome Flamenco on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Founded in 2003 by artistic director and composer Chris B. Jácome, the touring company has performed at venues including Jazz at Lincoln Center and New York City Center, as well as internationally in Mexico, Canada, Spain and Indonesia. The company has also performed for audiences of more than 6,000 at California’s Redlands Bowl.
The September 23 performance will feature flamenco dancers Bernadette Gaxiola, Yumi “La Rosa” and Lena Jácome, with Chris B. Jácome providing guitar and vocals. The program includes Sevillanas, Alegrías, Malagueña, Rondeña, Motivación, Soleá, Seguirillas, Tonás, Esperanza, Soleá por Bulerías and Colombianas.
Chris Jácome is an internationally touring flamenco guitarist, composer and artistic director, while Lena Jácome is an internationally touring flamenco dancer, choreographer and instructor who has performed and studied extensively in the United States and Spain.
