Hugh David Clonts

Hugh David Clonts, 86, entered into rest on March 13, 2016, after an extended illness, surrounded by his family at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center. He was born to Eva Whitmer and Cary Clonts on February 18, 1930, in his Grandma Whitmer’s home in Central, AZ.

He was the oldest of 7 children and later their family increased by 3 more because of family circumstances. He spent most of his working life with CKC and in 1977 moved to the Old Carpenter & Clonts Farms where he and his son, David, worked until his passing.

Hugh and his wife, Norma, completed 2 missions and served 12 years in the Mesa Arizona Temple. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all his life. He served in the bishopric and in many other church callings.

Hugh is survived by his loving wife, Norma, 5 sons, David (Sharon), Steve (Vicki), Mark (Glenda), Kent and Robert Clonts, 17 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Services for Hugh will begin with a viewing on Friday evening, March 18, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel and again on Saturday March 19, 2016, at 9 a.m. at the Solomon LDS Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Central Cemetery.
